SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). Together with the thematic and geographic analyses we also examined the conditions for development in Tidan. The starting point for the SWOT analysis was the conditions for a positive and sustainable local development where strengths and weaknesses relate to existing systems and aspects, while opportunities and threats are seen as external influences.

A SWOT was made for each location and highlighted similarities and differences between their different conditions. Both in relation to their existing aspects and how external influences can be seen in relation to the ambition for sustainable local development. This was then compiled into a common SWOT - analysis.
