The project proposes upcycling the Ätranbaneleden bicycle route between Ullared and Fegen to rebalance power dynamics and counteract the effects of a car‑dependent infrastructure. Through multi‑scale design interventions, it aims to strengthen connections to nature and create more inclusive public spaces for both residents and visitors. It also seeks to support local communities by linking the route to nearby towns and establishing a shared service network. The methodology relies on qualitative research and stakeholder mapping to combine bottom‑up insights with top‑down planning. The resulting strategy enhances regional connectivity, highlights landscape qualities, and opens possibilities for increased activity, business development, and future housing.
